Top 100 Mile Ultra is owned and written by Jeremy Criddle. Here’s how it’s funded and what that does and doesn’t affect.
Owned Businesses
Every individual race page links to RunTeaming, an Android running app also owned by Jeremy Criddle. It isn’t a paid affiliate placement and there’s no commission — it’s cross-promotion of another business under the same roof. Right now those links are an ask for people to help test the app before it opens up, not a sale.
What Cross-Promotion Doesn’t Buy
The core of this site — race details, course descriptions, elevation, aid stations, past results, registration info — has no partner tie-in at all. None of it is written to justify a link. The RunTeaming mentions are an add-on to a page that would exist and read the same way without them, not the reason the page exists.
What Testing Costs You
Nothing. Testing is free, and it stays free for the whole closed-testing period. To be added to the tester list, Google requires the email address of the Google account you use on your Android phone — that address is used to send the invite and for nothing else. It isn’t sold, shared, or added to a marketing list. There is no analytics or tracking on this site, and there never has been.
Being Straight About the Fit
RunTeaming scores your best run each week and caps at nine miles, so it is not built for hundred-mile efforts and won’t do anything useful with your long run. It’s aimed at the ordinary weekday miles that make up most of any build, and at the runners around you who don’t race ultras. If that isn’t interesting, skip it — the race pages don’t change either way.
